Zero Net Energy Technical Assistance for Municipal Buildings is Available Again in 2018

BayREN Zero Net Energy Technical Assistance for Local Government Buildings and Carbon Emissions Reductions – Sign Up Now!

In 2018, BayREN will continue to provide engineering analysis to support local governments with ZNE feasibility for municipal buildings, including assistance with identifying cost-effective ZNE strategies across municipal building types and providing recommendations for specific building retrofits or new construction.  This support is intended to encourage local governments to “lead by example” in implementing ZNE and, through that process, to help educate community members and demonstrate ZNE feasibility.

BayREN will work with local governments to integrate ZNE services into existing building projects, design teams and energy efficiency initiatives (e.g., audits, or upgrades planned), and can also assist  with data to support local municipal ZNE ordinances. Ideally, building projects should be early enough in design, so as to influence the project, but also far enough along where funding is to be completed in the next 1-2 years.

This ZNE engineering support is provided at no-cost to local jurisdictions.
