Join us in welcoming Toto Vu-Duc to the BayREN team as our newest Principal Coordinator! She will be leading the Codes and Standards Program and managing our energy consumption data tools.

“Coming from local government, I really appreciate the quality programming BayREN has produced. I’m looking forward to maintaining an exceptional level of service and learning how to support local government staff,” says Toto.

Toto brings a strong background in environmental management, having spent the last three and a half years as an Environmental Projects Manager for the City of Watsonville. There, she led the city’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan and gained expertise in green infrastructure design, climate justice, community engagement and more. Prior to her time in Watsonville, she spent eight years with Auckland Council in New Zealand, working across the built environment on projects ranging from public lands to climate action.

A born-and-raised San Franciscan, Toto is returning to her roots—and she’s not the only one! She shares that one of her favorite restaurants, Turtle Tower, which serves northern-style phở, used to be a staple on Larkin Street before closing a few years ago. Fortunately for the BayREN team, it has reopened on California Street, just a stone’s throw from our office.

We’re excited to learn from Toto’s knowledge and experience as she brings a fresh perspective to the BayREN team.
