BayREN has officially announced the conclusion of the Home+ Program, which has provided valuable energy efficiency resources to single-family homeowners across the Bay Area since 2019. As of October 18th, all incentives and Energy Advisor services through the Home+ program are no longer available.

In 2025, BayREN will introduce the new Efficiency and Sustainable Energy (EASE) Home Program, designed to offer moderate-income customers low-cost upgrades and expert guidance, simplifying the process of improving home performance. These upgrades will enhance indoor air quality and comfort while better preparing homes for environmental challenges associated with climate change.

“We’re excited to launch the EASE Home Program, continuing our commitment to providing homeowners with the resources and assistance they need to reduce energy use and improve their living spaces — particularly those who may not otherwise have access to these opportunities,” said Jillian Du, EASE Home Program Manager. “We’re confident that EASE Home will address the unique needs of moderate-income households while also offering complementary resources to existing programs.”

Moving forward, BayREN encourages residents to visit switchison.org, a tool that provides locals with information on available rebates, contractors, and more. While BayREN has sunsetted the Home+ Program, residents can stay updated on the 2025 EASE Home Program launch by signing up for the BayREN newsletter.

BayREN thanks the community for its participation in the Home+ Program and looks forward to continued collaboration as we transition to new offerings.
