San Francisco, June 2nd, 2023 - The Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) is announcing the reduction of select rebates for the Single Family Home+ (Home+) program, effective July 1st and August 1st, 2023, as described below.

Effective July 1, 2023: Rebates for induction cooktops and heat pump clothes dryers will be reduced (from $750 and $300, respectively) to $250.

Effective August 1, 2023: Rebates for heat pumps, heat pump water heaters and other efficiency measures will be adjusted in response to the launch of the statewide TECH Clean California (TECH) program. New rebate amounts for certain measures will vary depending on the type of upgrade. Home+ rebates for heat pumps and heat pump clothes dryers can be combined with the TECH rebates as well as existing local and federal incentives. The Switch is On rebate finder tool provides valuable information on additional rebates that homeowners may qualify for: switchison.org. Contractors that are part of the BayREN network will be equipped to assist homeowners in navigating the changing rebate landscape.

BayREN remains dedicated to helping the Bay Area achieve energy savings, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and foster a more sustainable future for the Bay Area. Current rebate amounts can be found on our website: BayREN.org/home-rebates. An overview of rebate changes is reflected in the two tables below. For more information on the rebate reductions, please contact us at info@bayren.org
