BayREN and Energy Code Ace On-Line Training: HERS-Verified Quality Insulation Installation (QII)

Description

This hour-long course focuses on prescriptive quality insulation installation (QII) requirements in the 2019 Energy Code for new low-rise Residential buildings of any size and additions greater than 700 ft². To avoid costly problems at the end of a project, QII needs to be considered throughout the process starting with the design drawings. This training provides an overview of QII requirements, discusses how to keep a project on track to meet the requirements, and provides additional reference resources.

Training developed and offered in partnership with Energy Code Ace.

Energy and Water Savings for Multifamily Property Owners

Properties in Santa Clara County are eligible to receive free technical consulting and $750 per unit for comprehensive energy retrofits. Learn how you can receive no-cost consulting from a building energy and water expert as well as up to $750 per unit to improve the energy and water efficiency of your property through the Bay Area Multifamily Building Enhancements (BAMBE) program.

Participating properties can earn a rebate of $750 per unit to help pay for upgrades to aging or inefficient energy systems, water fixtures, windows, insulation, furnaces, water heaters, lighting, and appliances. These programs are designed to be streamlined, flexible, and are tailored specifically to the multifamily sector. Additional incentives are available for projects that include gas-to-electric conversions.

Multifamily property owners in Santa Clara County are invited to attend this informative webinar to learn about the program and ask questions.

The BAMBE program is offered through the Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN), a collaboration of local government agencies that make up the 9-county Bay Area. Program funding comes from ratepayer dollars, and is authorized by the California Public Utilities Commission.
