Join us in celebrating 10 Years of BayREN!
As we enter 2023, we've highlighted a few ways BayREN has been able to support a greener Bay Area while tackling local issues such as housing, affordability, and resilience.
Led by the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), BayREN is a regional collaboration of the Bay Area's nine counties - one of the most diverse regions in the world. BayREN is able to address these issues through tailored approaches to program development, communication, and outreach, all stemming from local governments that are most familiar with their unique challenges.
Thank you for letting us serve you for the past 10 years. We're excited for the next 10!
From providing home upgrade rebates to residents, to piloting resilience programs for local libraries, BayREN has been up to a lot in the past 10 years! Scroll through our slides to read the accomplishments.

Remembering Cal Broomhead (1950 - 2018)
Cal Broomhead was a true environmental visionary and was one of the great minds behind the idea of Regional Energy Networks. Always one to lend a helping hand to other local governments and never without a smile, Cal was the heart and soul of BayREN. We miss Cal but his spirit lives on through our collaboration.
